where to race in so cal. (autocross)

there is a practice this sat and sun at hollywood park. come check it out. im not sure when the next champ is, but the next practice is sept 25 i think.
you go to the website and look for recent events. practices are usually pre-registeration, and require you to sign up for a free account on their website to access the message board:where you can find info on how to enter practices. usually by sending in a check to a certain address with the proper frees. for championships, you just show up and pay, or you can sign up online if you are a points card member. to get started, i suggest gonig to any event and watch(its free) and ask questions, get rides if its a practice, and get the hang of how things are run to get a head start on your first event. solo2 school at socal solo2 is coming up in a couple months, i suggest going to it, it is worth its money.

yeah the people in your (our region) are very nice and friendly to the n00bz
i'll be working this saturday (and maybe sunday) since my club is hosting the double practice, so i doubt that i'll get to drive much, but if you come out to hollywood park, soak it in, talk to people, you'll learn alot about how it all works--i'll be the guy with the EBP lude running around being a lackey.
schools are definitely a huge benefit, esp the e-board schools since they are much cheaper than the Evolution schools, and are plenty helpful.
