ZC or D17z6 are the best "econo" swaps because they will use stock axles, mounts, tranny, clutch flywheel, ecu, etc.

B series, like LS, B16, B18's of all types all require the entire swap, tranny, ecu, motor, etc, and then also require axles, custom mounts, custom shift linkage, and usually a good bit of wiring.

If this is your first project, I'd suggest a D16z6. It's 125HP, readily available from the 92-95 Civic EX and Del Sol Si, bolts into your car with all the stock accessories, and it's got dA mAdD VtEcH, Yo.

A ZC and LS are two very different swaps. The ZC will be cheaper than the LS just for the fact that it bolts right in, unlike the LS which requires a B series mount kit, alot of add. wiring and such. The ZC is rated similar to the Si's stock A6 but with a tad more power. Im not sure exact numbers for the LS but its gonna a have a lot more torque and pull a lot better all around. Really it comes down to what your budget is and that will really tell you whether you want to get into a B series or work with the ZC/ D series engines.

Definitely do a search because these topics are covered so much theres tons of stuff to read and a lot of good info. Sounds like you have a fun project ahead of you. Good luck

parts are definatly a shortage. but you can do a little bit of custom work and get things to fit ok.

If you swap an LS in you will NOT have to do aditional rewiring because you have an si. The LS seems to fit your desired power range well. Are you doing the swap yourself?

If you want 120lb-ft torque your only option with your budget is the LS the ZC and d16z6 are torqueless compared to it
