In regards to the link posted above I am wondering whether the s2000 comes with EDR or in fact any honda's for that matter.
Thansk in advance

cheers for the reply. anyone else?
Im wondering if theres a way of bypassing this maybe by use of a jumper wire. I dont want my car testifying against me, although i wasnt speeding "honest officer"

I'm not aware of the car having this. The ECU can record mis-shifts but that's about it.
*edit* and stores other codes but not mileage related issues, unsure whether ALL hondas don't have it.

AFAIK all the newer Hondas have a system that records collison data in the SRS box. I believe it may even be the case that all cars sold in North America have it.
There is likely also no way to disable it short of blowing up the SRS box after a collision. I guess your safest bet is not to do desparately stupid things, crash and kill people so someone thinks it is a good idea to get the black box so it can squeal on you. I'm not one of those ***** who cry that ridiculous blanket statement "speed kills." In fact, used with discretion it can be quite a bit of fun. But 114mph near enough to kill innocent bystanders? I'm glad the box ratted him out.
I'll even go way out on a limb here and suggest not crashing into anything at all. Its no fun and it can get to be quite expensive.
