Default Headlight Cleaning Question

I have authentic CTR headlights in my 98 Civic Ex coupe. For some reason the lenses are all smudged and dirty on the inside. What is the best way to get the headlight lense cover off? Thanks for the help guys.

put it in your oven for a little bit until the silicon gets loose enough to where u can pull it apart, make sure you seal it with more silicon when sealing it back up so it doesnt leak

If you pull them apart...you will be able to tell that they were taken apart. If you dont care then...use a heat gun...and carefully pry them apart. Try to save as much of that tacky glue as much as possible... you'll have less chance of it leaking. If you want, use some black silicone...and put a SMALL bead on the cracks so that there's lesss chance of moisture getting in.

One more thing... be very careful about the cleaning... I did this a long time ago...and it's really hard to get it perfectly clean. Also, use something that will not leave any lint...cause you might not be able to see them when you're putting them back together...but when the headlights are on...they'll reflect and it wont look right
