how do you do if you want to take your cat out?
my friend has a 6th gen and im trying to convince him to leave open headers for his quarter runs... Now, i know these cars are obd2 so what do you do with the cel? is there any way to get around it?

Well I am not sure but my dogs normally scratch at the door when they need to go out.
The cel will have to be cleared after he gets done running and puts the exhaust back on. I would say just leave it on cause I am too lazy to do all that just to make my car obnoxious loud and not get alot of gain.

Is this a street car or a dragster? Obviously is a street car, driven daily. Isn't the point of going to the track with a street car to see how fast your car will go with the sameway as you drive it daily? So why go and take off the cat just for the track. Take it off for everyday driving as well then.
The only way to get around the CEL light is to remove your guage cluster and take the bulb out. Then you won't be bothered during the runs.
