Default what to do... what to do....

Ok so first off I'm new to the H-T scene. Buddy of mine told me about this site, and said I should check it out. Alot of beautiful rides, makes me drools....

Anyhow, I picked up a 97 ex off of a friend, and it needs major work. First off it is black, with an unpainted white black widow body kit. That needs to go. My main problem is finding some OEM bumpers and maybe a cf lip or two. Paint needs work, needs rims... badly.. sittin on steelies.

Any advice on where to find some decent prices on oem front and rear bumpers would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure ill get the "new guy flame" but whatever... im down.

Thanks in advance for any information that you all can provide me.

i did... not much there... most of it is ricey stuff. not exactly what im looking for. ive contacted a few dealerships around here to see if they had any junk parts laying around. most want 200-400 bucks PER bumper. well f that. i know I can find them cheaper. ive been looking for about a week now, and really havent found what im looking for.

i tryed http://www.oembumpers.com and they had some decent prices, but it looks like Ill need more than what their offering. but i dunno.... we'll see.

thanks for the welcome.

found some pricing for oem bumpers...

600 for new oem bumpers painted to match the black on the car...
seems high, but thats "installed" too... ive not installed much of anything on a civic before... just a cavi... so if anyone knows an easy way to do it, or if any extra parts are needed let me know.

thanks.

not really falling onto any bandwagon. im just doing what i like...

and a black civic w/ a white body kit that is broken in a few places isnt my exact term for "nice" or "clean" looks more like "demolished"

so anyhow... i dont think i can go 99/00 front end because the headlights are different. 99/00 come to more of a point, mine are kinda rounded off.

dunno, still looking... hoping to find some decent prices. http://www.oembumpers.com is looking more and more like a good deal.. 72 for rear, 75 for front. all i need is paint at that point.

installing it is very easy...do not pay for installation, h-t is a diy power to the civic driver site. first look in h-t classifieds, you will eventually find what u need, maybe even in the color of ur car already, good luck and welcome

wow... i feel loved...

a forum that doesnt flame new comers?! *boggle*

Anyhow, thanks for the warm welcome all... im savin some up "skrillah" to buy a couple of toys. luckily the basics... ex exhaust, intake, sway bars, etc... have already been installed on this beast.

my MAIN question now that ive put myself on the burner... is how the fugg do you fix the drivers side window thing? anyone have a link for me or something? when its cold/raining my drivers side window doesnt go up all the way, like... it slides off of track or something.

now, the guy i bought my civic off of said he had been broken into a few times, but i figured that wouldnt be the problem... any insite? thanks

don't press your luck with the not flaming new guys, but seriously do not pay to have those bumpers installed. If you have a philips head screw driver you will be able to put them on.
