just wondering what your top speeds in 2nd gear are.
curious cause my 96 gsr can do 110km in 2nd and i thought that seemed pretty fast.

 

93 ls-s = 55 mph at redline

 

My fuel cuts off at 60 in my 99 ls.

 

most stock cars top out at about 62mph/100kmph

 

It depends on your gearing and rev-limit. B16/GSR/ITR trannies are going to be slightly lower in terms of their top speed in 2nd gear.

 

my car maybe does 45.... b16 trans and only 7000rpm... it sucks. stupid pr4

 

2nd gear ends at around 63-64mph for me at 8100 rpms on my tach.

 

im at about 55mph

i think 3rds about 75mph

 

i've hit 70mph with the b16 and Y1 trans... but it could be wrong cause i'm still runnin the D16 cluster

 

On a GS-R, redline in each gear is:

Just above 30 in 1st
About 65 in 2nd
About 95 in 3rd.

b16 on b16 gears aint gettin close to 70 in 2nd. at 7000rpm in 3rd i'm doin just 75

do you have the EF8 SiR cluster?

nope, i have a cops radar. 5000rpm in 5th on my b16 tranny w/ 23 inch wheel diameter puts me @ 79mph exactly (according to the cop). 4500 in 5th is approximatly 73, and 4000 is right at 65. when i top 3rd (only got 7000rpm cause i have a pr4 running my b16) and skip fourth going directly into 5th, i'm at 4500rpm.

i've tested what speed i'm at by what rpm im at many times because my speedo doesn't work.
