The header that Ryan is talking about is a B20VTEC header. Looks similar to yours Tom but the tube sizes are different.

Dave (SMSP) - I must add that your exhaust looks great too. Neo (Casey) from ATL dyno-ed his car this weekend and it sounded great. Not too loud, not too quite and very importantly eye-pleasing (i.e. stealth).

I just supplied him with the pieces, I think I only welded 2 of those joints so he and his buddy deserve the credit on the install of the system. But, I do like the sound of that resonator/muffler combination. FYI, he wanted the stainless steel bodied resonator and those are only available in the 14" length. In aluminized they can be ordered in 18" and 22" lengths which quiets it down a little bit more. The system for the header test will ultilize the 22" resonator.

Dave is that the new design for your header now? Or is that design only for the b20 version? Looks damn good from the pics.

The pictures that Tbone posted are of the B18VTEC header for the GSR. The B18VTEC ITR header uses the same tube sizes but the layout is different due to the large cast aluminum tranny to block support bracket used on the C5 engine. The ITR header has 3 tubes close to the pan and 1 low. The B20VTEC is the same layout as the GSR header but the tubes are larger.

Are the gains the same between the Hi-Tech Header and the SMSP? If not, which one has bigger gains?

IMO, you can`t go wrong with either. My buddy jumped from 186-201 by simply bolting on a HyTech Unit. Jeff`s (importreview) results w/ the SMSP unit were awesome as well. Jeff has built motors using both so he`d be the man to ask.

I don`t think we need to turn into an SMSP vs Hytech thread, so I suggest you take it to email.

Ryan
