Man, listen carefully.

Is the starter turning?

If not, you need to try boosting the battery first. If that does not make the starter turn, then you need to make sure you have power going to the starter.

Have you tried rolling down a hill and popping the clutch the see it it will start under compression?

ok i tryed push starting my CRX when it died and its nothing like the older carberated model of cars. I don't know for sure but i don't think it will start because the injectors are run off electricity and so no fuel means no fire.

Have you tryed jumping your car though? or how about checking the battery terminal connections? my car did something like that and i couldn't figure it out. The terminals were just loose. Start from the bottom and work your way up.

And did it die while in motion or was it sitting?

The starter is fine! I had it checked out. The car will turn on when I push start it. The battery if also fine, it's brand new. No my starter does not start. I checked to see if the starter was getting power and all the wires showed a reading. However the small wire that juices the starter didn’t show a high reading at all. Maybe I’m not checking the wires correctly! Does any one have advice on checking the wires? What’s the best way and what wires should I concentrate on?

Oh! Some one just gave me some advice. They told me to check the clutch wire? Because the car will not start if something is wrong with the connection or if the wire it's self is bad. What wire is that?

Take your multimeter and get readings on the battery

there's a starter relay under the dash just above the hood pop lever. there should be (i think) 2 Blk w/ wht stripe. short these two out and see if it starts. BE SURE TO PUSH IN THE CLUCH!!

What he means is, Splice them together Really quick I think. That would Trick it into thinking the Clutch is pushed in. If that Works Then The Switch for the clutch is bad. Also, how did you Test the starter?????? have you Tryed jumping the car??? Ive had problems with my intake ground out on the Positive side. Check ur termnals. use a multimeter. Check the wires on the Terminals make sure there clamped down nice and tight.....

OK, lets start from the begining. When was the last time you got the engine started. If you have done some mod to the engine, list them. What has changed since you last got it started. Or did it just not start out of the blue one morning.

It's the MAIN RELAY, and its a 5 minute fix. Over time the solder on the main relay circuit board cracks. You can re-solder them but it's easier to just plug in a new one. Remove the fuse cover & coin tray under the dash. You'll see a "plug" up on the left of the cointray that says Mitsuba relay. Unplug it and plug a "newer" one in. Under $5 at a junkyard. Let me know if that works!

I've heard of the main relay problem. I'm going to try that. But first I want to see if it has anything to do with the clutch switch.

As far as mods...NONE...the car is stock except an intake (but I’ve had that in for almost a year with no problems).

How did I test the starter??? Well... quickest way was to disconnect the s terminal plug, connect a copper wire to the positive terminal and tap the other end inside the s terminal...almost instantly the start kicks on and the car tries to turn on. It doesn’t turn on because I remove the copper wire almost immediately. The method I used on my car was much more reliable...I took it out and took it to advanced auto parts, they tested it for me.

Now there is something I didn’t mention before...for about a month before my car just decided to stop working it had been acting weird. It would stall while I was driving, usually in high RPM especially shifting to second and third gear. I would have to baby it so it wouldn’t stall. The car seemed to turn off completely then kick back up. At first I thought it was a minor problem like a loose terminal wire, but as it became more frequent I became worried and when I finally had time to check it out the car died. Hopefully this new info can shed new light on my problem.
