I say just build a car that u like, with ur own original ideas. or ones u pick up from browsing countless of magazines, and websites, attending countless of shows, and seeing stuff on the street, and ideas from other JDM or custom cars. Trust me ur car will come out more impressive

very few EJ's that i am finding inspiration for my car from. i find it from other models, and genres of custom cars. makes it more interesting
