how high can you take a gsr motor up in the rpm band?

8k or 8500?

this will be a stock internal gsr motor.

 

I believe the red line on a gsr motor is 8200. Mine feels like it quits making power just before red line so there would be no point in trying to rev any higher with out the supporting mods to make power.

Then what are you going to base it on? Do I really need to say "on your stock tach you can rev to 8200 but you stop feeling power at 7800"? I think thats a little overboard.

 

i have an aftermarket tach. i shift at 8k. i was just wondering what the redline is cause i have my motor in an eg hatch.

i think my aftermarket tach is off too
