Couple Qs....need some advices and help
Hey guys, sorry to sound stupid again...i have a couple qs that i need advices and help on.
first, recently my R is making a lot of weird noises...
1st: when i turned my car to either direction and going about 5 - 10mph...i can hear noises coming from the front wheels...it sounded like something's touching either...i know its not the tires, cause i can hear the noise even when the steering wheel was turn 30 - 45 degree. I'm guess its the power steering....but dont' know exactly what's going on.
2nd: My car is still maknig humming noise (similar to the noise we hear when we back up the car)...I just had my transmission fluid changed...dealer told me it could be the clutch...other say it could be the differrential....what do you guys think?
3rd: My rear left tire is making "phonping" noises....could it be the wheel bearing or something else?
4th: How do i remove the front and rear windshield wipers? I'm thinking about paint them.
5th: Where can i get the service manual for our R? Do they have one for the R or just the integra?
THanks guys....sorry some qs sound stupid. The closest dealer to me is like 30 mins away so i just don't have time to take it there and have them check everytme i'm having problems or hearing noises. ANy help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
THanks again

You can also pick up a Haynes manual, which will cover the routine maintainance fairly well. Those can be found at TrakAuto, etc.
1st: Check the power steering fluid, it's prolly low.
2nd: Not sure about #2, I would have to hear it. The noise that comes from the tranny when you back up if because the reverse gear is straight cut, not helical cut like the foward gears.
3rd: Again I would have to hear the noise, but check for flat spots and impact bubbles.
4th: I dont know, never taken mine off, never wanted to.
5th: Acura should have some. Prolly one for mechanical stuff and one for electrical stuff. I doubt that there is a specific manual for the Type R, it prolly just has R specific parts in the integra one.

The Haynes manual covers the Integra, the Civic and the CRV. I believe the Helms is Integra specific, with an addendum for the Type R. I also think that if the dealer sells you anything, it will be a Helms.
