Okay so me and my bro picked up a 93 Civic EX from a friend. He said it was making a knocking sound when the engine blew. Well I haven't taken it apart and will be doing that on Monday or Tuesday. I am really, really, really low on cash so I can't afford another d16z6 block. And I have a 88 CRX std (d15something) engine I'm pulling tomorrow that is mint. I want to know if I can use that block and put it in the 93 Civic?? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, sohc d series engines will mix and match between head and blocks.

 

okay cool yeah I wasn't sure since the d16z6 is from obd1 and the d15(?) was from a pre-obd. Thanks.

 

yeah dropping in any d series block should be self explanitory.
