Default crx si dohc zc swap codes 1 8 and 9

ok like the titlesays i got an 88 crx si with a dohc zc swap, and on the ecu the engine codes 1,8,and 9 keep on coming up.. does anyone know how to fix them.. searched but nothing says how to fix them.. any help would be great thanx in advance...

Code 1 is oxygen sensor - may need a new one
Code 8 is Top Dead Center Sensor in distirbutor - may need new distributor
Code 9 is Cylinder Position Sensor which is on the end of the exhaust camshaft - could be wiring for the sensor or camshaft timing could be off (which could also cause Code 8)

cool thanx, so for the 8 and 9 i might of connected those two wires wrong.. so just try and switch them two..??? and wheres the oxygen sensor??? o2 sensor??

your o2 sensor is on your header or exaust manifold it is a one wire so that is the one u will need

so code 1 is for my o2 sensor? is this correct?

and how would i fix code 8 and 9

If codes 8&9 keep coming back after you reset the ECU then you need a new dizzy. You can use one from a 88-89 Teg. The O2 (code 1) might be OK but because of the other problems you have the motor is not running right and you are throwing the O2 out of its range and the code comes up. I would fix the dizzy problem first and if the O2 still keeps coming up then replace it.

wow good stuff thanx... so switching the two wires to the exhaust cam isnt a good idea or should i try it?... so ur saying just reset and see what happens then go from their...
