I recently ran into a problem when installing my 4:2:1 header. I need an O2 sensor extension, but I can't find one anywhere. I was wondering if anyone had a webpage where they sold them. I don't want to splice into anything so please don't leave me a response about that. I am in desperate need of some help!?!?!

 

why don't you want to splice anything, it works fine if done properly.

 

only extension you can probably do is get a EX plug and make your own "oem" looking extension. otherwise just cut the wires and connect..

 

Re-route the o2 sensor wires from next to the exhaust manifold to behind/underneath the intake manifold. Sure, you'll need to peel away some tape, and take out the intake, and do a little more work than necessary, but it will look much cleaner in the end.

 

Does anyone have any instructions as to splicing the wires and routing them? I have to buy a new o2 sensor anyways, can I use the wires from the old one? I appreciate everyones help. This problem is really pissing me off.

 

You can use the old wires, but I would suggest just buying some new wire from radio shack to make the extension. As far as routing, just get it as far away from the exhaust manifold as possible.

 

Well, I fixed the problem and added wiring to the O2 sensor. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the help everyone. Don't know what I would do without this site.

 

what gauge wiring did you use??? i used bullet connectors to connect mine.
