Default ZC in crx....what ecu?

we are about to put a DOHC ZC motor in an 89 crx hf. what ecu do we need to use for this motor?

not off hand, but the 88-89 integ ecu is the one you need. Should be able to pick one up for about 50 or less.

i have an 89 integra ecu in my hatch and its not a pg6, its a pg7.

I've got one laying in my room and it is out of an 89 integra and it says pg7 on the serial number.

people say to use the 88-89 teg ecu but double check the map wires to make sure it is correct. I remember a guy having a issue with the map and ended up the wires don't match up for a 88-89 teg ecu. I have used the zdyne conversion for the hf/si ecu and it works well

Hmm, well ok its a pg7 than. The list is wrong. I had that ecu before and i cant remember what it said.

I had a blown dohc motor and the ecu is a PG7 not PG6. Well im selling the PG7 ecu pm me.

Yup, PM6 will work, at least to get it running, PG7 will run better and the PM7 will run the best (duh, it came with the ZC).

And his PM5 will not work, its a dpfi ecu.

Wow, such a long thread on something so simple.

A stock Si ecu will work, but lower redline which doesn't capture the whole power band of a dohc zc engine.

The 88-89 integra PG7 is choice due to its plug and play nature, higher redline (7500-7600rpm), and the lack of a speed governor which the JDM version, the pm7 does have.

The true zc pm7 works well to, except it seems like a number of the ones out there when used throw a load detector code. the speed governor kicks in a 112 mph btw.
