Default Welding on dumtube straight to the wastegate outlet

has anyone ever just welded on their dumptube straight to the wastegate. my bolts backed out when i was night racing and i lost the dumtube. then i guess the heat from the exhaust melted my radiator shroud. so instead of waiting for a new flange i was thinking of just welding a pipe right on the wastegate, has anyone done this?
tial 40mm, steel or aluminum

why would you weld it to the WG ? why not just get/make a new flange/dumpipe ?

Same thing happened to me, while I was at an HPDE. I burned a hole in one of my A/C lines.

I would get a new flange. But I don't see why you couldn't weld one on.

what happens when/if you need to replace wastegate and you want to reuse dumptube.. i have problem with manifold bolts backing out.. besides using new lockwashers everytime, i double check that its tight on there 50 miles after driving, then couple more times again in the next few hundred miles.. then it stays

well the reason i just don't get a new flange is because then i have to wait for one which we all know takes about 5-10 days. plus the bolts snapped off so there's 2 bolts that are still in the wastegate part of the flange.
oh, well just wondering if anyone's done it. i'll probably end up doing it anyways. do it, do it.
