Default New 1/4 mile times!

So I took Malkan to the drag strip tonight.

My previous best run was a 14.69@96.81. This run was made in June with 205/50/15 Yok S306's, an AEM CAI for an LS (2.5" diameter), and a Greddy Power Evolution catback. Please dont ask me why it has the wrong CAI on it, I dont know. I bought the car with the mods that are on it now and havent touched it yet.

The runs that were made tonight were on the exact same setup as the ones in June, same tires and everything.

My best run tonight was as follows:

REACTION ----- 0.8328
60 FT ----- 2.3533
330 FT ----- 6.1340
1/8 ET ----- 9.2910
1/8 MPH ----- 77.93
1000 ET ----- 12.0210
1000 MPH ----- NONE
1/4 ET ----- 14.3476
1/4 MPH ----- 97.71

All in all I think she did pretty good. I have never seen a time that low come from an R with comparable mods, especially on such shitty tires.

That car can run a 14.0 with a better 60ft. Great times but I know u will run faster with thesame mods.

Good times, but you can get that 60' time down a good bit. On Nitto 450's (which suck) I was pulling 2.6 2.7 60'. Still those are really good times.

Ok I am a retard. Those are awesome 60' foot times!!! You should have been pulling 14.0's with that kind of launch. I misread and though you were pulling 3.0's . I won't talk again.

2.3 60' is average...should be down to 2.1-2.2 on street tires. Good times though!

u can run a better 2.7 60' by driving like u would in traffic...i think ur dropping it too high or something, cuz that 60' can def use improvement, even with the crap tires ur on

I'm gonna get some 555R's and do a couple free mods. I think I can get that 60 foot down to a 1.9-2.0. 13's here I come!!

Yes that was with drop clutch launches from about 4.5k
But it got me a 14.03 with only an AEM so I can't complain.

uh actually my 14.03 run was with a 2.30 60' time if you can believe that. There is a reason though. On the good 60' launches my tires would spin badly when I hit second gear, on the 14.0 run I got alot of spin in first which heated up my tires enough to make second gear grab hard thus making up more than the difference.

You can get 2.20's on stock streets.

Good luck getting 1.9's on 555R's ...... My best ever was a 1.999 on slicks, and that was with good burnouts, and 7-8,000 rpm launches, and 175/125 whp/torque!!

The Type R limited slip won't let you do much better without a better clutch, and more power.

A friend of mine could pull 1.7's on slicks all day long in a GSR with an open diff. I got Z10 arms on the way too, that should help.

Crossett, ive been looking for you haha.. Im a friend of the guy you bought your car from.. Im very impressed with those times, especially since theres still lots of room for improvement.. I remember beating a few GT mustangs with that car..

about the LS CAI, im not really sure.. When he bought the intake the shop just put it on and he didnt know the difference.. Later we found out it was the wrong one and tried to take it back and exchange it but they wouldnt let us.. then they tried to explain to us that the 3" is to big for the ITR anyways, at the time i thought it was bull **** but now that I think about it maybe its true.. I mean if 3" piping was neccessary for an ITR wouldnt they put 3" piping in turbo cars that are flowing tons more air..

anyways good times, and its cool to see that my friends old car is in good hands..

i used to run 2.2's on the stock tires it came with. i didnt really keep them on long though, i toosed them for racing after the 1st event. and got m/t's
but still pretty good times. get slicks and youll be good to go , trust me they make the world of diff.
