Sounds like the syncros. Change the tranny fluid and see what happens. `

I agree, change the fluid and see if it helps. Otherwise it needs a rebuild.

My tranny had a nasty grind in 3rd gear and i was told to buy Gm(General Motors) syncromesh tranny fluid. I drained my whole tranny and put that stuff in, about 2 days later my tranny was smooth as possible even at higer rpms. th stuffs about 11-15 bucks a bottle. It worked great though.

I was just about to recomend that stuff, always try that first before you rebuild cause you might get some more life out of it.

Oh yeah!!!

Well, i had a pretty bad case of grind-alot-tis and tried a few different products, including 90-95-95-100 gear oil. Let me tell you something, draining and refilling the tranny 8 times(thats 16 procedures) in under two weeks is a real pain in the ***.

I finally broke and tried this Lukas crap some people told me about. Boy let me tell you. Lukas is no crap. I have to admit that it was the most felt upgrade i've done to my car.

I'm in the Eyecare biz so, it's not like i work for them or anything. I just strongly recommend Lukas tranny/gear additive.

PS. I've also like to make note that the results from their motor-oil-additive were not as succesfull.
But i'm inlove with their tranny ****!
