Life of stock shocks?
How long do the stock shocks tend to last? Just curious. Didn't know if this is an expected future maintenance issue or if they pretty much go for the life of the car.

I have 68.5K on my 97' and the stock shocks feel great. I know Budman heavily tracked his 98' on stock suspension up until about 105K.

Ya know I think mine are done at 51k ... Last night I was just cruising and the car felt so crappy

Same here. Does anybody know how much a brand new set of shocks cost from the dealer?

Yeah, if you're going to spend money to replace them, might as well upgrade a little. Konis are nice too, even on stock springs (I believe RJ is running that setup currently).

yeah, koni yellows are quite nice.
but, i for some reason like stock shocks matched to stock springs. Honda engineers didn't spend hours fine tuning the suspension for nothing. If you like OEM quality & ride, then obviously there's only one way to get it... OEM Honda shocks.
contact Len on this board... i think the cost shouldn't be too bad when compared to Koni yellow.

typically around this time you would need to change them, but if yer hardcore then ide say every 30-40k miles. but if you are real careful then ide say max 100k miles.

Are the Bilsteins considered stock? Or maybe a stock option or something? I've seen them somewhere sold through Honda, though it might've been a Japanese dealer. I know the Konis are definitely not.
