Does anyone know the ratio of the DRAG boost dependant FMU that comes with the kits???
They come with a 12:1 ratio, unless you stated you wanted a particular one. You cant tell just by looking at it.

Hi Art,
What do you think of this fuel set up? AEM FPR and rail, 12:1 FMU, MSD inline, RC 310cc injectors with a T04X turbo.
TIA

Get a 10:1 recalibration disc. 12:1 = RICH.
Drag with their Vortech fMU = 12:1 because they want the motor to run extra rich so the motor is less likely to detonate. But, you lose HP numbers.
Ditch that crappy FMU and get Hondata, nuff said.

I wouldn't use an AEM FPR on high fuel pressure apps, there have been failures when fuel pressure goes over 100psi on AEM regulators. Look into a Holley, Aeromotive, or SX

Ditch the FMU and get Hondata... Maybe if I had an extra grand laying around. Not gonna happen.
it's not a grand to get hondata.. hondata is cheap... and use the vortech 12:1 not any of this 8:1 crap like others have been posting.. unless you want a headgasket to go or even your motor

hondata you can tune anything doesn't matter if he has 12:1 or 8:1.. He's not using hondata apparently so I would say use teh 12:1 for now instead of buying a 8:1... and my im's are blocked so I don't have to deal with newbies messaging me
he would get the hondata for the purpose of using large injectors thus getting rid of the need for a huge rise rate FMU
With Hondata you would use 1:1 regulator, right?

hmmm, 12:1 fmu at 10lbs with 440 injectors means hella high fuel pressures (150+), but that's ok, with hondata we can turn the duty cycle on the injectors down to 2%...
see, problem solved.
somehow i was lead to believe that with hondata you could run bigger injectors, and less fuel pressure for a more reliable set-up? how did this little sheep lose its way, can someone put me back with the flock?

Chris, email me your questions and then I'll ask him. We finally have someone to help us out on our turbo set up. wooohooooo!!!! Im ready to get boosting again.
wait art, with hondata i can get the car to idle with 5psi fp and 105% duty cycle, then when boost kicks and fp rises to 100+ i can turn the duty cycle down again...
(the light bulb almost popped it turned on in my head so quick)

kind of got mixed up here... what I was trying to say is that if he doesn't get hondata go with the 12:1 ... he could technically still use it if he had hondata stage 4 but he's not running any standalone from my understanding... If you look at his dyno sheets it appears to be running lean up top and I think if he was using the 8:1 it would probably blow a head gasket or maybe something worse.. I would recommend that 12:1 from his dyno sheets.. a 10:1 would probably be ok as well.. I wouldn't go with a 8:1 though

Yes, I am quite the newbie when it comes to turbo. I admittedly left the build up to my mechanic, which, is really not like me when it comes to my car and money. Trying to get accurate info on this page is difficult. I am going to educate myself as much as possible so I don't have to depend on someone else. Bare with me I am not stupid, just ignorant.
