No, not at all.
The swap involved first of all mounting the lights into the Maxima brackets and aiming the beams right.
Then you cut off ALL of the BMW lens. Then retrofit Maxima Wade headlight covers into place....you have to fabricate the top, bottom, and sides.
It took my brother and I nearly a week to do it working several hours a day.
You'll see these BMW lights from time to time on Maximas, but nobody goes to all the trouble of making them fit GOOD. They just slap the lights into place and it looks like complete crap; the contour of the BMW light housings doesn't match the Maxima body at all

I didn't realize AMBER corner lights were something only Civics were allowed to do.
Do you have any earthly idea how many DOMESTIC cars come stock with amber corner lights?
The clear corners wouldn't have looked good with the black housings on the E36 lights.

Come-on, i'm not stupid. You did that style because you saw it on a civic.
i bet you 20 bucks that you painted those corner lights. Or you picked up APC line of amber corner lights.

Funny. Most of the E36+ i know removed their "OEM" amber corners and go with euro spec clear corners.
Black housing + Smoked corner =
