I just bought a type r cluster,a 98 dc2 type r cluster.I was planning to switch my LS cluster for the type r.the thing is that its not really compatable with the LS.For instance,when i use my LS plugs on the type r cluster the Anti-Lock Brake light stays on,and when i put the gas meter plug in it fills opposite of what i have in the tank.:::Example:::::if i'm on E the gas meter will read full wierd huh.Has anybody heard of this problem if so how can I fix this....

 

You have to either swap the gauges into your LS cluster OR swap the green backing on your ls cluster to the jdm cluster.

which is easier to do..

 

i just swapped out the gauges in mine, it took about 15 mins.

 

swapping the wiring harness (green film) takes about 15 minutes also and easier
