Removing lower ball joint from lower control arm?!? stumped...
Well, ive used pb blaster, tourch, and a pickle fork with a big *** hammer, and that ****** wont budge. I would hammer the fork in there, and bounce up and down, adn it wouldnt budgte, and i would also just slam it as hard as physically possible, and it still wouldnt come out, whats there left to try, i need to take the knuckle off to take it and get a wheel bearing pressed in. its really pissing me off, arg....

keep smashing it with the pickle fork...it will break loose eventually. i had trouble with the top one cause i was scared that i would miss and hammer the fender in.
i know thats not what you want to hear, but sometimes they are just stubborn.
they also make pneumatic attachments for pickle forks, this may work better, but i always got it with a hammer.

Well, im running to the store right now ot pick up a pickle fork attatchment for my air hammer. Hopefully that will get it, been hammering way to long got a migrane from teh high pitch clattering....
Get a sledgehammer and the right size pickle fork...it'll come off.
Jumping on the picklefork isn't going to seperate it...You need to bang the crap out of it with a sledgehammer.
Also make sure you have the nut off of the ball joint stud! I've done that once....after wondering WTF for 10 minutes why the ball joint wouldn't seperate

Do you have a long crow bar?
I have the most success with those. Wedge it between the LCA and the metal lip on the knuckle. You can see what I'm talking about if you are looking at it from the front of the car. The metal lip is right behind the ball joint toward the engine.
The crow bar I have is long enough so I can hop on it from out the front of the bumper.

Got it, it just took some beatings from the impact hamer, and a 240lb guy to beat the living crap outta it.
