can someone tell me what each gears ratio would be with a b16 tranny w/ls 5th gear and ls final drive?

selling my b16tranny w/ls 5th gear and phantom lsd. what should i ask for it? whats it worth?

 

cable/hydro? about what is that in 5th gear? how much you want for it?

 

what is what in 5th gear? i paid $1200 and have put 250miles on it. the guy before me said it had 42,000mls. on it. its hydro. im lookin to get $900 for it

also about original post, i found out it has b16 fd. i knew the second i put on my tranny and shifted to 5th gear. its even longer than a gsr 5th. im a 3500rpm's @75mph!

i don't know why people people put the the LS 5th gear in the tranny it feels like **** when you shift 4th to 5th i know you save gas and noise goes down but **** that i want the power in all my gears

 

saves gas and doesnt wear your engine as much... since most people daily drive and commute with there cars they need the mileage.. plus i dont like hearing my b20/vtec screaming at 4000 and im only going 70

 

Ls is a waste on a b16. Talk about gutless passing power. Not only that feels like you just shifted from 4th to 6th gear. GSR 5th is better, but even with that b16 doesn't like to pass cars on the freeway. If you want to keep the noise down, take that loud *** muffler off your car. If you want to get better mileage, go back to a stock ECU program!

 

i love how it drop alot of rpm's in 5th. i hated how my gsr was at 4000rpm's@80 and thats just the gsr, my friends b16 is at 4500@75
if you need passing power, slip it into 4th. its not that hard.
also who races in 5th gear you'll already be going 120mph at the end of 4th.

 

here is a little note. Just because the RPM is lower, doesn't mean you'll get better gas mileage. I found that my mileage got worse when I installed the GSR 5th in my B16, I guess the engine is less efficient at lower RPMs and higher loads. With the B20vtec, it was fine. Again, if you are bitching about mileage, or noise, put it back to stock to get those back...

Why haven't I changed it back to B16 5th? I haven't had the transmission apart yet. Once my 2nd syncro goes, I'll put it back in.
