Default Auto Tranny Problem

I messed up my tranny one day when I was in a hurry and was in reverse and threw it in drive and stomped on the gas before it was in gear. And ever since then I've lost reverse.

The tranny does as follows...

P - Parking gear locks like normal but can not free rev the engine. It's like it's in gear and I'm on the brake and pushing on the gas.
R - Same problem as park, car does not move.
N - Acts like it's in 1st gear
D4 - Runs like normal
D3 - Runs like normal
2 - Runs like normal
1 - Runs like normal

Any ideals what's causing this and a way to fix it?

Car is a 92 Civic with D16Z6 with JDM Auto tranny

i would take it to a reputable transmission shop and have an eds none on it (electronic diagnostic scan). i work for blumenthals transmissions here in oklahoma and using the right tools you, or someone can accuratly diagnose the auto. honda automatics a very complex. good luck man

Well I think the tranny is basicly fubar now so I'll have to look for another one. Unless anyone that knows honda autos can give some input.

Put it in drive, go about 10mph, and throw it in reverse.

I tried that. It feels like someone yanked my car back hard to slow it down and then stops dead.

I don't want to pay the massive amount of money to ship it. I can find one near me I'm sure. I just don't feel like changing it out.
