JDM D15B into an 98 EJ Ferio
I hydro locked the d16y7 in my Ferio. The only other available engine at the time was a JDM D15B. Im using my y7 tranny, which is basically like a 78 except for a fraction of a difference in the final drive ratio. I am using my obd 2 O2 sensor injectors and intake temp sensor. I got a skunk2 obdI adapter and a computer. Now the car hesitates until 3,000 rpm, its not burning oil and the VTEC works fine. i dont think its a map sensor but i noticed i dont have an AIT sensor. There is a plastic cover over where the AIT sensor would be. Would that sluggish response be from not having that or would it be from a smaller displancement engine. My y7 had 105 stock and the 15b has 130 stock and a higher redline. Does anybody know the torque specs of the 15b and the y7? if tahts the problem then i can boost the **** out of it. But someone told me it wont run right with my free flowing exhaust without a Fuel pressure regulator. Is that true?
