Default JDM GURU's please check in. [HID vs NON HID] *Dc2*

whats up guys, just wanted to clear something up and i would really appreciate it if you guys can answer a few questions i had about the JDM ITR FRONT END HEADLAMPS HID vs NON HID.

pictured below are from what i know NON HID headlamps and HID HEADLAMPS but i just wanted to make sure and ask a few questions.

[picture 01] - Hid headlamp.. correct? (notice the amber reflector)

[picture 02] - same car, different view.

[picture 03] - Hid headlamp...correct? (notice it does not have the amber reflector) *WHY?*

[picture 04] - nice crisp clear view of HID HEAD LAMP correct?

[picture 05] -

now these are all NON HID *NOTE: i understand that the HID BALLASTS will fit into these headlamps.. but they are labeled NON HID* correct?*

[picture 06] - non hid

[picture 07] - non hid

so why do some have the amber reflector and some don't?.. thanks again for all the help guys.

none of the jdm itr headlights have amber reflectors, in the first pic it looks like it because the way the light is hitting the turn signal bulb.

... so its probably the Amber light inside the reflecter vs the Clear light in the signal.. thanks bro

All OEM JDM front ends come with the pictures you supplied labeld "HID"... the non hid headlamps have the lines running all the way across the lense....

there is no amber reflectors... the only reason you see amber in the picture is from the amber bulbs...

if I put amber bulbs in my JDM ITR headlights... they would reflect amber in the housing

when I put clear bulbs in my JDM ITR headlight, they would end up like the 2nd pictures..completely black housing

that would be tight if the jdm headlamps were amber on the corners

no that would look retarded

the way they came from the factory looks best, but I would probably use amber bulbs if I had them to keep it a little bit less illegal (less attention attracted at night).

If I was really concerned about the amber showing in the daytime, I would use those new bulbs that appear silver when off, but amber when on.

HID have a Circle on the outside where the beam is. NON-HID dont have the circle, and have lines all the way across. Regarding the amber signals, thats just the bulb inside. You can have clear or amber but in most places it illegal to have clear so people use amber. I think amber looks better also! Hope that helps
