Wideband question
I understand what wideband is i am just wondering if when you install the wideband does its reading go to the ecu or does it just go to the display to give you a reading....i am wondering if it runs to the ECU and gives it a more accurate reading which in turn runs your engine "better" thanks
It goes to the display unless you wire it into your EMS. There was just a thread on this a few mins ago in the FI forum. Search there is tons of info on this.
it goes to a seperate display, you can wire some back into the ECU but you need to program the WB unit to output to something the ECU can read. The Innovate LM1 is one such WB that can do this.
i did read that post and it didnt answer my question unless something had been added after i read it. but thankyou guys for answering my question.

on my AEM EMS i'm able to either just send it to display on my laptop...or use WideBand O2 feedback which allows me to adjust/correct my a/f at any given rpm/engine load. i was messing around with this option today during work and it seems to work pretty decently looking at my datalog files
