Default Idle Speeds

I have a 1988 Honda Accord 4 door sedan. I recently got a new starter put in and after driving it for about an hour realized that the car was revving way too high. My idle rpm is 2500 in park and i dont know how to get it back down. Any help would be appreciated.

Huh??????

Idle went up while intalling a starter???

First thing, open the hood and look at any electrical connections, especially around the area where you worked from installing the starter. WIggle them, tighten them and make sure they are secure. Look also for disconnected hoses and such...

Most probably, at this point, it is a connection that was hit by mistake.
