god... I dont know why idoits like you bash on Hondas like that.. Honda are nice cars.. yea some are good gas saving economy cars... but thats no reason to bash on them? With little work and the "know hows" you can make your Honda faster then any V8 in the street. in the same time looking nice where girls would love yall. I must admit I hate ricers.. ricers make Real Honda lovers look bad. With they stupid body kits and huge stupid wings :err:
anyways heres some pics of nice Hondas.
then I show them the best Honda cars h-t has

well that's less honda's that'll be trashed out with silly wings and unpainted apc bodykits if they decide to get a chevy cavalier or something. like this guy said let kids make and learn from their mistakes.

Let them buy whatever they want. Why are you trying to change someones mind for them? If they dont like Honda's F 'em, more for us. You want them to get into the hands of idiot teens that will rice them out and ruin them? Me neither.

overall they are a very small and lightweight, yet good potential car to tune up.

haha @ some of these responses. How about they are good cars to start you off with because they are slow as hell and get good gas mileage? But later down the road they'll have the potential to go fast and look decent doing it...?
Honda has had LEVs since the late eighties. The current Focus commercials are bragging that they just now finally have LEVs.
Honda achieved the most hp per liter of any NA auto production engine. Does Dodge, Ford etc have any engines that achieve 100+hp/liter? Hah hah hell no. Their sport offerings are all heavy high displacement gas guzzling engines.
4th through 6th gen Civics, and corresponding Integra's, Del Sols and other models have front and rear double wishbone suspension. What domestic has that again.... um, the Viper? No Mcpherson strut suspension, not even 7th+ gen Civic or RSX can even begin to compare to that.
Honda has had aluminum block engines for as long as I can remember.
Unbelievable gas mileage.
Unbelievable and well earned/deserved aftermarket support.
Excellent reliability.
Overall excellent engineering. Just a notch above Toyota. Domestic engineering is simply laughable. Except Chrysler. Honda engines simply respond to modification on their race inspired engines. Cavalier/Mustang/Camaro/etc engine is a joke. They keep recycling their old designs where air flow was a very low priority and fluid passages and fasteners took priority. This was explained to me by the director of the Ford/Chevy program at the college I attended. This old muscle head had a very high respect for Hondas, although he refused to own one.
But don't go around convincing other people to get Hondas.

I've been asking myself that question for the last 3 years. Actually, the question was, "why DID I get a Honda Civic?"

THANK YOU! Someone has finally pointed out the liter/hp difference. First time I've seen anyone bring that up in defence of honda
My own personal reasons: Strong engines that run forever, cool design, and GREAT looking with just rims and nice looking paint.
And you can get a lot of power out of them for the size they are... now if honda only made an AWD Teggy.

I agree, not too much mention of hp/liter. Big importance if you ask me as well as power/weight. I hate when poeple flame on hondas becuase they arent as fast as their v8 etc. That may be true, but hp/liter is probably greater, honda does its work more efficiently and is was probably MUCH cheaper etc. My .02
people around here where i live dont like honda's they think there slow as hell and everyone here loves dsm's unfortunitly, dsm's run the streets round' here cuz theres alot of 10 second and less one's around here
Honda's sell themselves. almost all you have to do is let any camaro, mustang or Trans am guy drive one and it usually shuts them up. No honda's arent as easy to make run fast and yes they do cost more to mod and fix up and no you cant have 350 whp from small bolt-ons. But what you do get is a car that when fixed up properly and done right that you can loan to your grandmother and still be easy to drive and be reliable. Can outrun most stock V8 muscle cars, or even mildly modded ones. Still can retain Air Conditioner and have awesome gas mileage while doing all of this. Not to mention that most Front wheel drive cars Handle just amazing. Just dont bash it until you drive one that has a engine swap. I have had a 98 WS6 with the bolt ons. I have had a 70 1/2 Z28 with a Built 327. I still have a 1957 Checy Pickup with a Big Back Glass a short step box on it and a 327 going in this one. I have had a 69 Ford Pickup with a Boss 302. I mean I have done the muscle car scene and I have done imports. And I love them both. Imports are a blast to drive and rev to 9000 RPM's. And V8's are fun to Dump the clutch and get the *** end sideways. And Nothing and I do mean Nothing Beats Good old fashion American Rumble and American Muscle. But screaming to 9000 Rpms and back to whisper quiet can also be very pleasureful to the ears as well.
