Default Code 7. But TPS is still riveted??

I just got my car running but have a bouncing idle, I said **** it Im driving to work anyways.

I get on it in third at between 5-6k the engine light popped its ******* ugly head

1....2.....3.....4.....5.....6.....7

Code 7, tps. ****

Pop the hood, take a peek at it to make sure it wasnt broken or flopped. Nope

But I did notice them oem rivets were still in there and they werent notched so this ****** hasnt been moved at all.

I did just tap into that main line though for my zex nitrous kit but I havent used it yet.

So what could be the problem? I have a voltmeter I think but dont really know how to use it. Is anyone could walk me through the procedure Id love it. Wont spray until this code goes away

BTW- Sohc zc non vtec with pg7 ecu

You are going to have to probe the tps connector and see if you have voltage at the TPS.

First, with the ignition on, probe into the green and yellow wires. You are supposed to get about 5 volts. If not, probe the yellow i think with a known good ground. If you don't get 5 volts, then bad ground.

If you do get 5 volts at the tps, then tap into signal wire from tps to the ecu. Don't remember what color. When you move the throttle, the voltage should go up or down nepending on its position. .5 volts closed, 4.5 volts WOT

If you do get that, then it could be a problem with the ecu or the wiring going to the ecu. I don't recal what pins you can check at the ecu for this.

Hope this helps.
