I just did my engine swap. i'm getting a code 8 and 22. I also can't start the car with the key. To start it i had to run a jumper wire from the positive side of the battery to the remote connector on the starter. Help please. These are the only things that are keeping my civic from running perfect.

 

code 8=TDC
code 22=VTEC pressure valve

hmmm so your car starts when you jump the wire only?

i think code 22 shouldn't disable startup at all. did you check your timing alignment, ignition timing?
