Default new clutch: engagement getting higher?

Quick question guys. Yes I did a search, but no definate answers. I just got a new exedy organic racing clutch. Right after I got it, the clutch engagement point was very close to the floor. Since then, I've put about close to 300 miles on it, getting closer to breaking in the clutch fully. I have not been driving it hard, but babying it for a good break in. Now I'm starting to feel that my clutch engagement point is slightly higher than what it used to be. Is this normal? Does the engagement point on new clutches get higher after initial break in?

Kinda makes sense, I assume it's a new pressure plate? The pressure plate is a spring of sorts, like coil springs on your suspension...they settle.

edit: why would the PP springs have anything to do with this? Sorry to bring up a 5 year old thread, but the same thing happened to me after my install.
