JRSC ITR! CRAP DYNO TIMES! ANGRY AND CONFUSED! HELP!
ok...i am going to post this in this forum and the FI forum.
heres the issue:
installed JRSC, JR fuel pump, JR fuel reg, JR spark plugs, AEM short ram, JR map controller
dyno tuned this piece of **** last night
results.... 190.7 whp at 5.5psi
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
with all the money i have spent, that is crap!
looked on JR's website, says they got 215WHP on a stock ITR with a JRSC and same mods as me, minus the MAP controller....
wtf is the deal? JR a bunch of scum bag liars? something im missing?

5.5psi isn't much... Remember a roots type blower on a 4 cylinder is ganna rob a lot of power before it makes any. You should be running that blower at higher boost levels to be satisfied...

Right, and in order to do THAT, you'll have to get some sort of intercooler in order to disapate the heat more. Otherwise, DETONATION occurs...

I think you just wasted alot of money. A basic turbo kit would have you over 250whp with the same boost.. Sorry man. I don't know why anyone buys those blowers..
I am currently running at 225+ @ 6psi at the wheels on a B18C1 with Hondata. My suggestion to you would be to get your car tuned at another tuner and get rid of all that JR stuff and buy a Hondata S100 with boost option...far more reliable and the ability to be tuned infinitely...
Don't lose faith in the JR system, it is a good system even thier are a lot of turbo haters. Also you might want to check your compression and do a little tune up to your motor.

I hated mine with a passion. Spend 700 bucks on a homemade turbo kit and havent looked back.

That's pretty sad for an ITR. Mine made 190whp all-motor when I sold it...
Most ITR's do a buck-sixty to the wheels as-is.... 173-175 with bolt-ons...
Cams and valvetrain, larger injectors and a stage2 hondata, you can usually squeeze out 180-190whp without much of a stretch. 200whp is the norm.

am I so glad I don't have a jrsc anymore. lol
Anyway, JRSCs don't like b18c5s. the problem is the ITR cams. They have too much overlap. Get some cam gears and get your tuner to tune it out. Even as weak as the JRSC is you should be able to clear 200whp easily.
On my b16a2 I made 200whp at 6psi with the JR

i didnt ******* ask you to tell me to buy a turbo kit!
i did A LOT of research and went with the blower for particular reasons, i dont give a flying **** if a turbo for the same cash gives 20% more power
next time, try to be helpful and not an idiot
im sick of 75% of the people posting on each forum, saying "screw that JRSC, get a turbo!"
well guess what! the JRSC is in the car and staying in the damn car, so get off the turbo obsession!

Matt (Spunkster here on H-T) at Hondata got over 260Hp on his ITR so the potential is there. He did have a Comptech header and cat-back, running at 10psi, but I recall he gained over 40Hp in the tuning.
also the weather can effect the results of your numbers. i am sure you know that but do you know what the conditions where when jr did their dyno run.
You wont make big power with the JR EMS bandaides. You need a real, professionally tuned EMS. Tuning, tuning, tuning.

Thanks for the kind words. I highly recommend Church Automotive Tuning if you are in California for Hondata tuning. Also a set of adjustable cam gears will yield the numbers you are looking for and even give more tunability. If you want a complete list of mods I have on my JRSC, just let me know.

I know a guy who has a sc'd gsr, but not a JR.. at 9 pounds, so not even double your boost, he made 292 hp to the wheels.
the guy who tuned it knows his stuff though..
I would really really suggest, for the sake of your motor, tuneability, and power output, to get bigger injectors and a real EMS

vortech is a completely different kind of supercharger, and a dyno queen with a terrible power band.
stay strong with the jrsc, they rock

if you dont ******* care about a turbo making 20% more power then why did you post saying crappy dyno times???? shut the **** up and accept it then, but dont get mad when people telll you that you wasted your money , because you did ,you could have built your head for less than a grand and see the same power .
