Default Latest news on JRSC for RSX!

Ok I know all you anti Jackson Racing people will look at this a scoff... but they have a lot of plans up their sleeves.

The JRSC for the RSX is being developed as we speak. The thing is... it will be intercooled! At least, that is what they are planning to do. This means a lot more potential for power.

Also, this kinda takes us to another topic on JR. The "Racing" part will soon become known. Sure they have the NSX driven by Adam Saruatari, but that isn't gaining enough attention. So, they plan to build a race car and show the public what they are made of. An intercooled supercharger can make huge power numbers. So look out for that.

I'd be willing to bet that the intercooler is there as a measure of coping with the Type-S's 11:1 CR, not to make more power.

JR had a lot of headaches getting their ITR kit to work, and that was with 10.6:1 CR.

im thinking that they're intercooling it to "try" and compete with the growing popularity of the vortech systems.

actually what they "try" to do is make something that is more capable of producing more power by keeping the temperatures down. they had attempted to make one for the B series engines, but there is just no room for it. This has nothing to do with competing with Vortech. Vortech released application for the most popular imports so that they can get some of the money JR was making. They had no reason other than that to get into imports. And judging by the 1/4 mile times of their s/c on a civic si... i believe 14.4 or so, I've seen JRSC si's run that on stock 6psi boost. Pretty bad considering they have a claimed 100hp advantage in power.

How do they plan on intercooling it? There's not that much more room in the RSX.

Hopefully it's not just the water injection packaged with the kit.

Well, if you're successfully supercharging an engine with 11:1 CR, then that'll naturally make good power.
