i have a swapped and rebuilt d16z6 and the other day I forgot to put the radiator cap back on. I had only traveled 3 miles and when I noticed the temp gauge was pegged! I pulled over immediately and put water in the radiator. After 2-3 min the car was at regular temp.

now for the funny part. My car has been reading a code #9 Cyp sensor for a long time, it runs ok and I will fix that later. (can you buy the sensor seperately or do you need a new dizzy?)

anyways now the car stutters or hickups as soon as you press the accelerator. It only does it when your foot is off the gas and then you step on it lightly (also it only does it 25% of the time under these conditions) after you bring the revs up everything is fine

there is no white smoke comming from the exhaust and no oil in the coolant.

could I have damaged somthing from the high temps of the overheating (like Idle Air control valve?)
