because si arent that much different from 96-00 coupe aside from the dohc motor, rear discs and interior (and frontend for 96-98) where as the DC2R.. the suspension and chassis is totally different from reg DC

one (with the right parts) could make a 96-00 dx/ex EXACTLY the same as an SI whereas no matter what you do you will not start with a non-r dc2 and end up with an ITR

because there'd be no point. that'd be like having a civic dx forum, just more confusion.

Type R's are rare.
Civic Si's aren't.
Type R's are worth more.
Civic Si's aren't.
Type R's look better.
Civic Si's don't.
Type R's outperform in stock form.
Civic Si's don't.
Type R's don't have the same torque as a D16Z6 in stock form.
Civic Si's do.

I can go on and on.

BTW, they do have a D-Series forum. Just made for all D-Series motors.

wtf?!?!

you seriously need to take a chill pill....for the money spent on a SI you can find a used R for maybe 2k more.....I have seen R's go for 16k-19k on a regular.....hell I know of a CW Type R with a supercharger and TONS of extras going for 18k right now

open your eyes and realize that the SI is not what it is cracked up to be

Why the don't huh. English. Do you speak it?
As everyone else said already on the post, it's probably because it's not as rare.

Civic Si's are the same as other civics other than the motor. Type R's aren't. Is that simple enough?

None of those reasons are the true reasons why.

thank you...hey moron. What are you talking about. your talking like 4 gs more you act like all people can spend that much more. Iam not hating on the R but its not the greatest thing in the world. used sis go for like 9 k now...and type rs still go for 19 k used...add a few more Gs and you got your self and rsx types....but just keep thinking what you think CAUSE THE TYPE R is the ****.,..and nothing is better... either way this isnt wuts this thread is about, so iam sorry for taking it that way. But dont bash the Si, its a good car and the type Rs lil brother. so dont hate on it that is pointless, in the end we all drive hondas anyway.

the ITR has different chassis supports then the normal DC2 that is why you cannot use an ITR tub with a gsr motor in HC H3 however you could use a gsr tub with an LS or vise versa and you'd be alright.

Funny how touchy people get when someone gives an opinion, that isn't "up to spec" without someone else's, and acts as if their mom was talked about and called a *****.

It's just a car, if you don't like criticism, don't join a web forum.

The Si is a big piece of **** compared to an ITR. An ITR is a honda factory track car, whereas the Si is a blinged out EX. I've driven both and the two cars are worlds apart.
