Default SRR Final drive in VX tranny....SEARCHED already

After searching no one asked this.

Does a 4.7 SRR FD bolt into a VX tranny?

I'm guessing it does, but after looking at the Quafie LSD which is sold in a 40mm bearing (Ex/Si tranny) and 35mm bearing (Non Ex/Si tranny) that it might not fit without some modification. Any help would be great......anyone from Exospeed, you know the answer?

And please, no one tell me to get an Ex/Si tranny cuz if the FD bolts in then I won't be out any extra 75, compared to buying a Si tranny and puttin the 4.7 FD.

no matter how you look at it, the vx gearing will always suck. so i am going to do what you asked people not to do.

get the ex/si tranny.

if you like it so much then why are you trying to put a different FD in?

cuz im gonna need to have the tranny rebuilt sometime soon and might as well replace the final drive with a stronger aftermarket one than a factory one

Why do you feel you need a "stronger" one? Can't say I've ever heard of an OEM FD wearing out or snapping.....especially a VX's.

i'm pretty sure its not any stronger. it will make the car accelerate faster and louder(you'll have a whine from the gear). if your getting that tranny rebuilt, you could get a used lower mileage d16y8 tranny and save alot of cash.

I'm gonna do the rebuild myself for the experiance...what good is workin on your car if u dont know how the parts work right?? But if its not any stronger then i'll just stick with the factory FD then.
