I have black stuff coming from my exhaust. sometimes its all over my car on the back of it, but when im letting the car cool, i see black stuff all over the ground. not alot but enough to notice. any ideas what it is and how it got there?

 

Youre probably running really rich. What are you doing for fuel?

 

so what's the setup. Mine is the same, I suspect that when I boost there is alot of unused gas that collects in the exhaust which mixes with water vapour and spits out onto the bumper.

 

rc 440 with walboro intank with vfac hack. drag gen 3 kit

 

Im feelin it to....there is black spots all over my rear bumper from running rich. IM running about an 10.5:1 to 11.5:1 A/F. SO i do know im running rich.

do u have wideband that tells your air/fuel ratio? black stuff coming out of the exhaust is fuelso you're probably running rich

 

Pretty sure all of the black stuff is from running rich, when i was running on blue box my muffler was covered with them black ****. i washed it all and went dyno tuned with hondata. 3 weeks now not even one spot of black ****.

get it tuned correctly and you wont see them **** again, i promise .

 

O_o Luckily your not running Open downpipe. Having a BLACK CHARCOAL engine bay is worse. How the fvck can I clean that? -=P
