stock flywheel should weigh in an 18lbs.
ITR is 14 or 14.5 lbs.
If you want to go as light at 8lbs, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $$ for a chromoly one. It is strong, lighweight, and they don't get resurfaced.
If you're not going to put much race time in the car, then there isn't a point to it really. That is the purpose of the lightweight flywheel, because on a raod course// auto X you are constantly going up through the revs. A lighter flywheel enables you to down shift heel-toe style and be in the right rpm range faster than the heavy flywheels.
Anyways...good luck with it.

it 18.2 lbs. Dont waste 400 dollars on a new flywheel. Go and pull your flywheel and take it to the machineshop. have it lightened and resurfaced. $80 for an 9lbs fly? not bad at all.

lightening the stock flywheel is not recommended it screws with driveability. just get a aftermarket its better

I was fortunate enough that my OE flywheel didn't shatter on me after having it lightened to 11lbs.

Jason...
I'm not trying to scare people away. And you only took 2 lbs off the ITR flywheel versus mine was lighter by 7 lbs. Certainly a big difference.
I had ran my light flywheel for approx. 22k miles, the last few hundred of those miles were turbo'd.
At any rate, If I were doing severe weight reduction in the flywheel area again, I would get an aftermarket chromoly one.
