I havent found the spot where it touches the car but you can hear it over some bumps and sometimes idle.

Shove between the boddy and the car and have it hold in place to stop it from touching, any chance this could cause a little bit of rattle/rasp in the exhaust?

 

wrap a t shirt around it. how far down the pipe is it?

 

Doesnt the exhaust get *** hot?

 

 

Find some header wrap, you can find it in small rolls and small diameter, shoudlnt be more than a couple bucks. Unless by CHEAP you meant FREE, then I dunno.

And yes by cheap I meant less than what I carry in my pocket (usually 2 quarters)
