The poor built ITR motor decide to internal blow itselfs up today.. LOL.. Happened right infront of my work too.. Had to push her into the shop then tow her on home for the tear down.. The story...... Accel.. into tracfic after buying some smokes, merged 2 lanes, shifting around 4000 or so.. and then switched to turning lane for work.. About 3000rpm car dies and I slow to a stop.. Try to refire the car and all I hear is bearings spinning and rods knocking all to hell... Quicky let go of the key and look at myself like someone just shot me... The car never turned over only click over maybe twice or 3 times.. That was enough for me to know everything was gone inside the motor.. Pulled the dipstick out.. Metal shavings in the oil.. Also I check my oil this mourning and glanced at the TB and tension seemed good.. Looked at it today, Its got 6 inchs of play in it or more... I think I am looking at a largwe amount of top end and bottom end damage.. Wouldn't be able to tear into it until probably this weekend.. I'll post some pictures when I get it apart.. It sucks soo badly to know I just cooked 10grand engine.. Sorry LIP... I know you enjoyed that motor as much as I did.. Atleast this past Saturday I ran extremely well during my 1st HPDE and the car ran well... Oh well

It will be rebuilt within the next few months.. Going probably bigger and better if I can stomach the thought of forking over thousands to do it.. Most likely it will be rebuilt similar to the current setup but with more power in mind...

 

Would you happen to want to sell the car now??

welcome to the club. atleast yours can be rebuilt. kinda strange it just died at like 3 or 4K RPM though I was beating on mine when it went.
