Hey,
I wanted to hookup a VAFC to my mini me on my A6, but I'm not sure where the wires hookup to the Vtec head......


Does anyone know how to wire up the pressure sensor?
I know which wire is for the solenoid but there are 2 wires comming from the pressure sensor and only one wire comming out of the VAFC......

Not understanding your question, the VAFC is wired to the ECU.. Not the cylinder head. You need an ECU schematic? If so.. what ECU are you using?

 

the vafc is all wired to the ecu

the only cable that goes to the head is the VTEC out

the press u refering to, i beleive is more likely the MAP sensor reading


unless u running a VTEC ecu u dont really need to wire the vtec oil press sensor

 

O.K., I'm useing a D16A6 with a 0DB0 ecu, (no vtec hookups)
I wanted to use the APEXi VAFC II to control the vtec as well as the air/fuel.

There is a wire comming from the VAFC that goes to the vtec oil pressure sensor..
There is only 1 wire but the plug on the D16Y8 head sensor has 2 prongs on it......

Which side does it go in to?

Because there are 2 prongs do I have to wire power to one side?

solenoid

 

disregard the vtec pressure wire from the vafc.

vtec solenoid is one wire. and that should be the only wire goin to the engine bay.

But does anyone know about the sensor?
Could someone with a Civic EX measure the current comming from the ECU to the oil pressure sensor... I really would like to know...

I think its maybe about 5+ comming from 1 wire.
