Me and a freind just got this 90 civic hatch from this redneck that put some cheap ractive crap on it. anyways we got it two days ago and last night it broke down and suddenly this morning it makes a knocking noise. I first thought it was a rod but when my freind drove it last night he said it only smoked and broke down when he pushed in the clutch and the previous owner said the tranny was bad so then i thouhgt it was that or a rod knockin so if u can put some in put in can u give me some feedback thanks.

 

When does it knock, is it intermittent?
