Default Im pretty excited, I bought a new welder today....my first!

Bought it for our new shop we just opened a month ago.

We purchased the Miller Millermatic 175 with cart.

Along with a Hornell Speedglas 9002V auto-darkening helmet.

Cant wait til it gets here on Friday. I got it from http://cyberweld.com, which was recommended to me by Adam (racerxadam) who said their pricing is good and they have free ground delivery---not bad.

I have the same welder! You're gonna love it dude! Make sure to WEAR BOOTS! I made the mistake of wearing skate shoes and welding and believe me, those sparks are HOT!

Did you happen to pick up any gas yet or are you going Flux?

Forgot to mention I puchased a new 40 cubic feet cylinder along with it. Filled with 75% argon and 25% CO2.

I know where your coming from with the boots. Im actually quite bad with protective clothing when I welded with my uncle's old shitty mig. I would get a nice sunburn without even stepping outside all day

Haha! Nice choice on gas! 75/25 Argon/CO2 Steelmix is perfect.

The 40cf cylinder might be on the small side for a business operation. Last thing you would want to do is run out of gas in the middle of a job...especially when it is a Saturday and the local welding supply/gas shop is closed. ALso usually the price between a 40cf and the lager bottles are not much more.

PS...Did you buy the 40cf cylinder from a local welding supply shop?

Same... I've always wanted to weld, but didn't want to drop the dime. This is just another excuse for me to do so

I have the older millermatic 130. It's a great little welder for home garage use. I love mine...

Make a cart for your welder as a first project. It's fun and you'll learn a lot.
