WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS????????
OK , JUST FINISHED UP MOTOR SWAP, BUT MY FOURTH GEAR LIGHT IS BLINKING GREEN, THIS ONLY HAPPENED AFTER I REMOVED THE SHIFT CABLE(CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC). WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG?????? HAVE NOT DROVE CAR YET IS IT POSSIBLE THE SHIFT CABLE JUST NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED, I DON'T THINK ITS STUCK IN GEAR BECAUSE IT GOES INTO PARK AND NEUTRAL. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, I USED THE H23 WIRING HARNESS ON THE F22B DOHC MOTOR. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
that is a safety measure for the tranny it will stay like in 3rd and not upshift into 4th --
it is a countermeasure for some problem with the engine wiring or some error code that the engine is throwing so it will blink the tranny light to tell you that it has entered a safety mode could be wiring issues with the tranny do not know enough about it but this is what I do know

As said, your tranny is in limp mode.
Pull the codes doing the jumper thingy on the plug behind the center console.....My old F22B auto had that, turned out to be a faulty shift/lock-up (dunno which one anymore) solenoid.

ok, my car is stuck in fourth gear is the transmission bad or what, it was fine before but after I **** with that damn shift cable its stuck
i am having the same problem with a spare prelude of mine...it is an auto and i just put in a new h23 and auto tranny that had come out of that car. When i put it all back in, 4th gear will flash whenever I hit about 25mph or so and then continue to flash. What is up with that? sort of strange and i have to figure it out because i have to sell the car

Best bet would be to pull the codes...
On a sidenote: if the position of the shifter doesnt correspond with the indicator on the dash (ie shifter in D3, but dashboardcluster lights up D4, or nothing at all), car will drive like ish! Its like slipping in between gears.....

well it as it turns out I am a complete dumbass, and I just didnt have the shift bracket bolted on thanks for all the advice though.
i doubt it is the same problem, but there is a gold bracket inside of the car, 2 ten mm bolts hold it down, it connects right outside of the hole where the cable enters the vehicle at the bottom.you have to take the center consol out to get to it.
