Port and polish
You have got to search man. This stuff has been covered. Boring and stroking are different means of increasing the displacement of the motor, and porting and polishing are ways of making the head flow better. None of this is cheap, and they are not "bolt-on" modifications. They are a part of a big motor build. Search, and you will find what you are looking for
I know what they are and what they do, I was just wondering how much they help on the honda engines, I have a 78' cj7 and I know more about the bore and stroke/port and polish and that than I do on these b/c I've had it done. I can get it all done for almost free, I was just wonder what the gains were
there is no number that anyone can just tell you the motor will gain, that goes for any motor. theres so many factors affecting what kind of power the motor puts out. but heres some things for you to consider:
crazy all motor honda b-series put out about 230-240whp on pump gas
crazy honda part built b-series put out as high as 230whp on pump gas, but i dont think they're as reliable.
stock bottom end honda b-series can put out 330whp tuned turbo'd
built b-series hondas have made 500+ hp on pump gas turbo'd
if that helps any.... "bore and stroke" are terms from video games. you dont walk into a machine shop and ask for a "bore and stroke". to stroke a motor requires a different crank, whether you want to de-stroke it or up-stroke it, and a bore depends on what you want out of your setup. port and polishing is a science and art, i'd only leave it to people that really really really know what they're doing, not just any machine shop can port a honda head and turn higher flow numbers out of it.
