port and polish
what excactly is port and polish is it boreing out the head so on? cuz i have a b16 and want to do that before i put in it my car and how much hp am i looking at, and how mush does it usally run for thanks???

port and polishing is grinding away air restrictive material on the inside of the head and smoothing it out for better air flow..hondas have pretty good flow...IMO there are cheaper ways to get better horse power gains...

if you're sticking with all motor, a good valve job and port and polish can do wonders for hp production. this is something that should be left to the pro's.
you dont bore the head. you bore the cylinders in the block. boring makes the cylinders bigger giving you more displacement. more displacement means more air and fuel you can potentially bring in meaning more power. you can only bore the stock cylinders so big before they get too thin and you need to resleeve.
