start off w/ getting your drivers license first...that may help a bit, and some say its a good start.

Not necessary. By no means is he causing any harm. He's just curious in a car-fanatic way. If he hangs around long enough, he'll learn something.

why lock it? if you guys want to flame, go ahead but remember you're flaming a 13 year old
My best advise to you Luke, start playing racing simulators, that have good physics engines incorporated into the game to refine your skills when you're at home. Then get a go-kart, a 125cc of some sort, and start racing that. Soon enough, you wont want to drive an s2000 because it's too slow and open wheel cars is where you'll want to be. Remember, start now, you're young and it's not too late.

I like Vapors idea. You have a LONG time before you can drive, and chances are you will change your mind 100 times before then regarding the car you want. But in either case, you will still probably be into cars, so just start building some general knowledge on them. You have a huge advantage over alot of people out there starting so young, so take advantage of it. So get a go-kart or something, and start reading these forums and learning as much as possible. Good luck.

I wouldn't say a long time. If this youngin gets his act togethor, he could be racing right now. You don't need a driver's license to race after all. I've gotten my tail handed to me by an 8 year old in a junior NHRA dragster enough times to know better than talk smack to shorties at the track.
I say no lock, when else do we get a chance to kill rice at such an early age?

It's already been started. Drifting? Touging? Super Street reader?
Don't get into drifting and all that crap. The S was not made for it. Just like everyone cries that it's not made to drag race, it's not made for this new "sport" drifting.

Well, first a few things are in order. Driver's licence is a first, then that car insurance will kill you. I bought a new Corvette when I was 19, and the insurance was about 1/2 the price of the car note. Save your money, pay cash, and carry liability only. Good luck.

i'm sorry...but if you get a car thats pricey, do not get liability only...especially if its a honda. (theft is a bitch). and even more so if you have a convertible (having liability of a s2k, though tempting, if used as a daily driver is crazy. slashed top will cost you 1200+ to repair.)

Just like any other car, the S2000 can be setup to perform just about any type of racing. Out of the box it is a well balanced car, although it definitly is not a strip car. I'll take the other half to PM..
